Vintage Fairbanks-Morse Model 557 field scale or tabletop scale, with complete set of 7 iron weights ( one 1lb,  two 2lb, two 5 lb, 2 10lb. plus the one pound sliding weight on the balance arm. The weights also show their actual weight if it is needed to check the scale-the 1lb is 2/10th lb, the 2 pound are 4/10, the 5lb are 1lb, and the 10lb are 2lbs of actual weight.  I checked the scale with a 2 kilogram  brass weight (NOT INCLUDED) and it read 4.41lbs vs an actual weight of 4.409lbs- so within the precision of the scale.  The condition is good to very good, see photos.  I disassembled for shipping, see photo.  This has the "fish tail" cast iron base, brass balance arm, and cast iron weights.  The top flat pan appears to be stainless steel, but can be interchanged with other pans if
available
.  The base of the weight hanging attachment (on end of balance arm) is partial filled with steel, and should not be opened, as this is how the scale was originally zeroed. The attachment  must be in place when weighing- as shown, even if no weights are added.  A nice vintage working scale for the collection or use.
