Takeda® Stage 2 Aluminum Black Short Ram Air Intake System with Pro Dry S Filter (576957) is still available. The Takeda Retain Short Ram Air Intake System will improve your car's performance while also improving the appearance of your engine bay. This system will improve airflow to your engine, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. The Retain Short Ram Air Intake System replaces your restrictive factory air intake system with a large, free flowing high performance Pro DRY S air filter and a mandrel-bent aluminum air intake tube. When compared to the stock system, this system significantly increases airflow, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. You'll notice an increase in performance. And this system looks so good that you'll soon find yourself popping the hood to show it off! The upgrade begins with the Pro DRY S air filter, which combines high airflow and filtration efficiency with the convenience of oil-free maintenance. It has two layers of randomly porous synthetic fabric that allows approximately twice the airflow of a typical stock air filter. The increased airflow results in more horsepower and torque, better throttle response, and higher miles per gallon. This improved airflow and performance, however, has not come at the expense of engine protection: the Pro DRY S has an excellent 99.2 percent filtration efficiency rating. The pleats in the filter are evenly spaced for greater dust holding capacity, and the tips are rounded for improved airflow. They're also 30% deeper than comparable aftermarket air filters, allowing for longer service intervals and greater dust holding capacity. A specially designed 3-angle velocity stack smoothes the airflow transition from the air filter to the mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube. Unlike factory air intake tubes, which have sound baffles and make awkward bends, the Takeda intake tube is designed to give the engine less restrictive breathing by incorporating larger diameters and smooth bends. The end result is the greatest possible airflow velocity. To add style to your engine bay, the intake tube is available in anodized black or polished clear-coat finishes. The Retain Short Ram Air Intake System includes everything needed for installation, including all couplers, hardware, and detailed instructions. Some systems include a black powder coated heat shield to help isolate the air filter from engine heat and allow it to take in cooler air. Because the Retain system fits completely under the hood, installation usually takes 45 minutes or less. This system is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.
