Our competitors scales only have MILD steel and an 1/8" thick plate. Our PS-4040FS has a robust steel deck, 6 channel bracing, and 200% overload protection. Our system includes indicator, cables, and 5 year warranty on the steel deck. Our competitors include a 1 year warranty, 50% overload protection, and plastic indicator. Capacity is: 9,500 x 1 lb Capacity.
This type of scale is great for users that plan to load pallets, drums, and other large items onto a scale with a forklift. If you want to use a pallet jack you are better off going with a 4x4 floor scale with a ramp. Our 40" x 40" is recommended only for users with a forklift or other lifting devices to load items onto the scale. Instead of weighing each box weigh the entire pallet in one shot.
